Hi guys my fiancé has got admission in one of the colleges in Canada. She is going to apply for the visa next month, As I am living in another country right now, and cannot go back until August, we will officially marry in August,

Lets assume she gets the visa by September, how can she go to Canada and sponsor me? Is there a way out from this? I am confused on what's the best way for us to move ( if not together, how can we move separate?

Has anyone been through this situation. Any help would be appreciated.

Once you are married, you can apply for a spousal open work permit based on her study permit.

If you are marrying in August I would suggest you to wait for your spouse to complete one semester.

You are allowed to apply anytime if you can prove relationship under common law partner. But rejections are common if you apply early. Visa officer may consider the marriage done just to get entry into Canada.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know how much time it takes to process the application?

Thanks for the reply. Do you know how much time it takes for IRCC to give an answer if one applies for this visa?
Depends on where you are living / which country.
