Hello guys,
I wanted to ask your council on this situation i'm in.
I was recognized as a protected person back n Dec 2017. I applied for PR in Jan 2018.
Processing times on refugee stream pr is taking up to 3 years. My application haven't even been looked at (initial assessment takes over a year)
Now I met my wife back in October 2017. We moved together from Quebec to BC in Jan 2018 we been together ever since and just lately we got married.
our marriage is as genuine as it gets, we're deeply in love.
Now i'm thinking, why wait 3 years when I can do it through spousal spondership and get the PR in a year and get this whole headache out of my head.
So what do you guys think about this? is it risky? any downsides to it?
Can I have two applications at the same time?
the plan is to withdraw the refugee pr application once the spousal one is acknowledged.
Please share your experience/opinion on the matter with me and with the world of the internet.
Thanks for reading.
