Applying for SOWP and ICT together

I'm in a unique situation where my company is willing to transfer me to Canada office on ICT, while I'm also eligible for SOWP because my partner got into a PhD program at a top Canadian university.

My question: can I apply for SOWP separately from my company's application for ICT? I'm asking because my company may take a lot of time to process this, and if I can get an SOWP before getting an ICT I will be able to accompany my partner to Canada. But I also don't want my SOWP application (which I will file before my company files for ICT) to interfere with my ICT application. Please advise!

You can apply for either but SOWP is taking around 6 months so you should start your application as soon as possible. Does your spouse have a study permit or WP for NOC 0, A or B and when does it expire? When did you get married?

Hi My spouse is on closed WP Noc A which is expiring on Dec 2022 and extension is already applied in sep. We are married from 5 years.
