Applying for SIN after PR landing

Hello Folks,

Family landed smoothly a while ago at Canadian airport as new PR. Great moment

When spouse applied for a social security number SIN later on, it could not be issued because a problem occurred with the landing record. Seems during landing, spouse was not "checked in" properly. Further verification were therefore needed, which is now ongoing.

However, I am wondering if this is just a mistake or is this something much to cause worries?

Did you solve it? Could you share what happened?

Turned out to not be a problem.
Spouse got SIN by letter, only thing is that it was delayed by couple of weeks (due to check).
There was no action on our side. Just waited to receive SIN.
