applying for second TRV

Hello! I was invited to Canada last year to study yoga. I was granted a single entry TRV from Russia. I extended my stay for 6 months, but returned home to work after only 1 month of my extension. I wish to return to Canada in April, then return home to Russia to work in may, then come back to Canada again sept to take another yoga training.

My questions is, has as anyone had any experience with visiting Canada on a TRV more than once? Is it realistic to be granted entry again? especially from Russia? I have searched for similar situations, but cannot find any. :( Does anyone have experiences they can share regarding a second TRV? Perhaps multiple entry the second time? Strengths to guarantee approval?

I have already shown strong ties to my country when I applied for the first TRV, and I plan to do the same this time when I apply. I also demonstrated that I returned home as required on my first visit to Canada. Does this strengthen my case or not?

The only thing different with my application, is my marital status has changed from "Common Law" to "single". Will this impact my application?

Thanks for your time.. :)

At the time, I had no reason to come to canada more than one time. I also read that multiple entry visa is harder to get first time. Thanks for the reply. Anyone else care to elaborate on my first posts questions?

Hi,

I entered first in Canada in year 2012, then extended after 6 months, but left during implied status. Got approved.

Second time entry in year 2013, just about 1 month after I left Canada, got let in. Applied for extension again, and got approved in less than 10 days.

You have to bear in mind that the VO will need to be satisfied you'll return after the stay, you've enough funds, you have enough funds to cover any accidents that might happen during your stay. So as you said your proof of strong ties with your country, and stuffs like that.

Does your country have a high percentage of people staying illegally after lost of status and work? That might be a reason to decline your request too.

But all in all, I trust that the government in Canada is a Democratic one, I've met nice CBSA agent at point of entry. If you prove you've genuine reasons for coming for a visit only, doesn't hurt to try.
