Applying for remainder of PGWP

I applied for a PGWP and they approved it till the expiry of my passport (Feb 2024). Because it's expiring in Feb 2024 which doesn't meet the earlier policy of getting the 18-month extension, I'm confused on what to do.

The message on my PGWP
"STATUS MAINTAINED AS PER R183(5). POST-GRADUATE EMPLOYMENT. ISSUED UNTIL PASSPORT EXPIRY. MUST RENEW FOR FURTHER EXTENSIONS."

What do I do to get the remainder of my PGWP because I only got 1.8 years instead of 3 years for my 2yrs study?
As we can see in the message above on the work permit approved?

Apply for PGWP extension after you renew your passport. I initially got 1 year only due to same reason and got the additional 2 years after I renewed my passport.

Do I Apply ONLINE or it will have to be through PAPER ? because I researched and saw that for extensions, it will have to be done through paper.

I applied in PAPER. But note that this was in 2021.
