APPLYING FOR PR NEED SOME HELP...

Hi there everyone just want to ask, im about to work on my application for PR next yr (its kinda far for now, i know )but just want to know on jan 2012 is my 24th month. and my working permit will end on aug 2012.. now here's my question do i still need to renew my working permit even if my going to apply for an open permit and PR?? :-\ thanks in advance..

No need for extension. You can apply under CEC class, within one year from the date you are out of canada.

As a temporary foreign worker, you must have two years of full-time (or equivalent) work experience in Canada. Your work experience must be gained within three years of applying.

Full-time work experience means working at least 37.5 paid hours per week.

If you want to keep working in Canada after you apply for PR through CEC, you do need to apply to renew your work permit. You may need an LMO if your job requires it as CEC does not extend the length of time you can work in Canada.
