Hi, I'm currently pursuing a bachelor degree at the U of Calgary. My professor told me that when he was doing his master, he worked as a Research Assistant and 2 years of working part time will equal 1 year of full time work, and thus he was able to apply for PR right after his graduate school. I was wondering if this is possible now? I look around cic but couldn't find a similar case. Thank you!

I am not sure about Alberta, but I know you can apply for PNP in B.C. if you obtain Master's or Doctoral degree of certain majors from a B.C. university even if you don't have a job offer. I can't post the link for some reason.
Officially CIC requires your part time job to be AT LEAST 15 hours per week see w w w.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/apply-who.asp (please remove empty spaces by yourself, I'm not senior enough to post links~) I applied under EE and unfortunately one year of my TA/RA work experience does not count because I only get 12 hours per week.
