I am planning to apply for my parents visitor visa for my convocation. My studies got over recently and I am on my applied status for my PGWP. I don't have a valid visa as of now as my study visa got expired on the same date my studies got over. Do I need a valid visa while applying for my parents visa? If not, Do you recommend me getting a TRV while I am already on my applied status for PGWP, without having the approved work permit? Please note that I just have a confirmation letter with an application number which I received after applying for my PGWP. Which option should I consider as my convocation is tentatively in February and I am on time crunch.

You can attach implied status letter when writing invitation for your parents. Assuming other supporting documents will come from your parents..

You can attach it but they are the ones applying and showing their own funds, ties to return, travel history and reason to travel. Where do they live?

Sure! I will attach the letter but do i need a valid visa for applying for parents visitor visa in the first place?

I am confused whether I need to have valid visa for myself before applying for their visa or Is it fine to apply without having a valid visa myself?

You are repeating same question, the answer is attach letter from IRCC confirming your implied status and other documents I assume will come from your parents..That letter will serve as proof of status.

They are applying not you. May not make your convocation.
