Applying for new work permit while spouse is in canada on H1b

Currently i am in India and my company is applying for Canada work permit from my employer. My spouse and kids are in US. Spouse is working in US on H1b. My kids are US citizen.

Now i have couple of questions:
1. Since my kids are US citizens, they don't need any visa to enter in Canada. I am thinking to apply for dependent visa for my spouse. As spouse is in US, how the bio-metrics and medical exam will be done Is there any other challenge/ things to consider as Primary applicant is in India and dependent is in US?

2. Once spouse has dependent visa, will that entitle her to search new job in Canada from US and apply for same?

Biometrics: How means what? You already went through this for US visas. Dont know what you are asking.

3. In this thread you wont get correct/enough details as most here are on H1.
