I am confused. My baby got a citizenship card with her photo on it. Has this changed very recently? She is only 18 months old.

Yes, exactly :). The changes were effective Feb 1 2012. You can see both the card and the certificate at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/citizenship/proof.asp

Thanks! I don't get why they changed it. Seems like having a photo would be necessary. Oh well.

They used to give ceremonial certificates but the card is much more convenient too! You're lucky :)

After a little over 2.5 months....... and I didn't even have to email them, I was gonna give them 3 months before I turned annoying. LOL .......I am now holding my kids' Canadian citizenship certificates in my hands!! Woohoo!

We are now just one step closer to moving to Canada. (If only they would send some step 1 approvals out, I'd be even happier!!!)

It is the new one page thingy. Not as handy as the cards, but I wouldn't even care if it was made out of toilet paper, as long as it has the same meaning and importance ;)

Next step: passports for them.

Then am i going to answer Yes on question 11 referring me as the mother who fill up his forms? plssss help and thank u! my head already cracks on these

Are you sure you are using the Citizenship Application for Minors? Form CIT 0003 (02-2013) E. I'm looking at question 11, and it appropriately has a 'Parent's/Guardian's signature' box, and also a signature box for children that only "14 years of age and older" must sign. If not, which form are you on?
