Yeah, my university didn't ask me to deposit anything yet, so I applied for the study permit without paying any tuition fees. That's just because neither me or my parents had a big enough credit limit on our credit cards. All I showed them as proof of funds was an online bank printout of the account standing (in English) and the four previous bank statements (in Finnish - couldn't get these in English) for one of my parents' savings accounts, that currently had $80,000 USD in it. And a letter from my parents where they promise to fully fund my studies and living. We'll see if this is enough to get me the study permit...Seema_Sinha said:
There is no rule by the university/college to pay fee in advance from your home country but just to satisfy the visa officer and to make our case more stronger we used to pay fee in advance from our home country. Paying fee of 1st semester in advance in good enough. If you can, I am if it is feasible for you then pay for the 2nd semester also just to make your case stronger but if not then also no problem in that.
