I hope someone can clear a few things up for me as i am really confused!

I am in Canada now. I am a British citizen halfway through my 1 year IEC visa.

I am in the process of applying for my visa again.

I have made payment and been "conditionally approved" already. So i'm now going through the 'come to canada' form as part of the CIC process. When i get to the end of the questions i get given the offer to apply for a 'Temp res visa' or a 'Temp work permit'

So basically i'm not being directed to fill in the IEC form and i'm confused?

Does anyone know what i should be doing?

Many thanks!!!

Tom

Your country of residence must me uk when answering the questions. NOT canada.then you should get a third option to chose
At the end.

Hello,

Yeah i noticed doing that works but how is it going to effect the application process? Because the question is:

What is your current country of residence? "This is the country where you are living right now, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country."

It doesn't make any sense because it clearly says on the IEC website that you can apply if you're currently living in Canada.

yes, that's alright. you got the right form. complete it and submit it. everyone i talked to ended up filling
out this form.
so we should be good. and it makes sense, since your country of residence is still the uk, once your visa
expires you'll have to go back.

Ok cool. So on the form where it asks for current country of residence do i put my UK address or Canadian one?

If i put my UK address do you not think that they'll see from my passport stamps that i'm still in Canada.

Are you reapplying again yourself?

Yes, reapplying myself, and I put my canadian address down. Status worker and the date from when I entered Canada until the day I sent the application. Thought about chosing status 'Other' and writing 'IEC WHP' in the comment field.

What did you do for your police check? Did you apply from Canada or from "England"
I am in Canada right now, German citizen. I only provided a police check from Germany. However, CIC might
request a Canadian police check later on in the process.

Did you put your last work permit number in the UCI section at the start of the application?
