Hi, I just called uOttawa they said once they have printed the offer letter they cannot reprint it. So I'm left with a conditional offer of admission. Could someone please confirm if I can apply for a visa with conditional offer of admission and if the same can be used for GIC and Premedical check.

Cheers!

yes you can, by the way what is the condition imposed ?
Just the submission of official transcript and official copy of my graduation. They said I jus need to submit my official transcripts now and I can show them my graduation certificate once I get there.

Indeed you can apply for GIC with unconditional letter and even the medical, but for Visa, I don't think it's a good idea to apply with unconditional letter. And it's hard to believe they can't reprint the unconditional letter.
Although CIC doesn't specify which letter is good to go, but as I said, normal practice is to apply with the unconditional letter. However, have seen a few cases where students paid their fee on arrival.

Well lets hear what others have to say on this.

Interestingly, they have mentioned on the admission offer that this unconditional copy should be sufficient for visa.

what's the confusion now?

It's a good idea to apply for a visa with unconditional letter, hope you understand the difference between the two. your other question about GIC application with different college/uni and joining a different one- well absolutely no issue. However, if you are planning to apply for a visa with a different uni and later join another one on arrival, you got to be careful at POE when you arrive.

Hey, I'm not that thick skulled to not even know the difference between a conditional and an unconditional offer. I just bumped this thread regarding my second question about applying for a GIC which you have answered as well and thanks for that.
