Applying for FSW from Oman - Need Help Guys

Hello Everyone,

I want to apply for my FSW from Oman. I am currently living in India but accepting a job in Oman.

Kindly, suggest...

1. Will there be any problems obtaining the PCC in Oman ? They ask for a letter from the employer to get PCC, I think that will be a problem...
2. Which visa office I will have to select..... Abu Dhabi or Delhi ? As I will enter into Oman next month or so
3. Will it be just advisable to stay in India and apply for FSW ?
4. Do I need to submit my Passport for a certain period of timing for stamping or anything which may prevent me from doing international travel ?

Please give your opinions.... Any help is appreciated,

Answer: I don’t think there should be a problem as many people have obtained the PCC. You might have to tell the reason for obtaining PCC to your sponsor to obtain the letter. Link to Royal Omani Police for PCC is below:

Answer: If you apply now, you should choose Delhi. Once you enter Oman, the visa office maybe Abu Dhabi. Normally the visa office is chosen by the CIO Nova Scotia based on the convenience (i.e. proximity) to the applicant. If you apply from Oman, you will have to provide your Omani identity copies as well as local address.

The important thing here is to know which visa office will be faster. You can look at average processing times to get an idea. The other thing to know is sending passport from Oman to Delhi could be problematic. You should take advice from people who have sent (and received back) passports from overseas to Delhi for visa stamping.

3. Will it be just advisable to stay in India and apply for FSW ?
Answer: Its your judgement call. If the job in Oman is good why would you let it go. Application processing takes time.

4. Do I need to submit my Passport for a certain period of timing for stamping or anything which may prevent me from doing international travel ?
Answer: Yes for a few days/weeks when your passport is with the visa office you cannot travel.
