Applying for extension - what address

When applying for a visa extension you need to send the forms and supporting documents to Vegreville.
But, the document check list and the instructions (for extending a visa) show slightly different addresses.
While I believe that both addresses are ok to use, can I ask where you sent your paperwork, 1 or 2?

I think both above goes to the same address. For TRV you need to apply to a Canadian visa office outside Canada:

use no 2. address are same but two different dept. your mail should go to #2 address if its for TRV/Visitor visa and not for immigration.

Requests for visa has to be done outside Canada. CPC-V processes extension for Temporary resident permits- visitor, student or worker. Once he has the permit extended, he can then attach a copy of the Visitor Record (visitor/study/worker permit) to apply for a new/extension visa to a visa office outside Canada.

Just so people understand what I am doing:
I am a Brit (visa exempt) in Canada, with a six month visitor record.
I am applying for a visa extension so my Canadian fiancée and I have enough time to get married in Canada. Once married we will submit my PR application.
Unlike many people here, who sensibly want to stay in Canada while their outland application is processed, I actually have to return to the UK (for at least three or four months) because I have to work.

Getting back into Canada while my PR is being processed may be difficult, I know we can wait it out in separate countries, but, obviously we would prefer to be together.

If later this year I arrive at a Canadian port of entry (wanting a six month stay), with documentation to prove that I have applied for PR. Would POE officers be likely to view my entry as a problem? I would have a return ticket, because my new wife and I would be visiting the UK to celebrate with everyone who could not get to the wedding in Canada.

So you don't actually need a visa. There had been posts similar to yours that were actually able to gain entry into Canada without problems or at worse were given Visitor Records. I don't think the IOs at a POE would deny you being together with your new wife. You can bring copies of the receipt you had paid for your PR apps to show good faith. And having enough ties with the UK (your job and family, though your new wife would be your family). Just answer their (officers') questions truthfully.

And yes, starzibal is right. Send your application to the second address, if you are requesting for an extension of your visit.

I have documents to attach, will the online system let me do that?
All my forms and documents are together; I intended to pay online, print the receipt and then ship the whole lot to Vegreville by courier.

Is processing faster with an online submission?

I figured it if the address numbers and such was the same then it would be alright. Now I am worried.

I paid online (yes you have to register), then I printed the receipt.
All the documents and forms will go to Vegreville by courier tomorrow.
