We are planning on applying for inland spousal sponsorship. can you actually apply outland and would they still give you extension to stay in Canada?
Yes. My husband and I did. He just got his second extension.

One question to those who got extension.

Did you guys mention in the form that you have applied for permanent resident visa or spouse visa?
In my form, I just wrote I apply for permanent resident visa, but I did mention that I live with my husband, and he is my sponsor and guarantee to support any expenses for me in Canada. I suppose they get the picture that I am applying permanent resident from spouse/family class..

Hi guys!!!

I am in Canada almost 5 months and my tourist visa will expire. My boyfriend and I want to get married so we are asking for an extension visa.
I live with my boyfriend and he is totally responsable to my expenses. I don't have resources to proof of financial support. What can I do?? Can my boyfriend be my support? And how I explain this in the extension visa application??

Thank you very much!!

Yes he can and just as you told us! :) Explain you are working on your PR and your wedding and would like to stay with your boyfriend/fiancee until you get PR. And your BF will have to type up a letter stating he will support you :)

You're fine :) You're allowed to stay for 6 months in Canada, you could go home for a day and be able to come back. BUT make sure that you prove that you are not STAYING in Canada.

hey guys, here is my story: I'm here in Canada on visitor visa, the purpose of my visit is spending time with my fiancé and when my stay is over he will move with me to my country, after i landed here our circumstances changed, we got married and now our paper work are almost done to apply for PR (we're applying outland), my visitor visa expires in september we will apply for extension, I'm so worried and confused what should i do ?? i think we will apply for extension before the PR, what are the reasons of extensions? what should i say ?? any help and advice will be really appreciated

Hi, my name is Koko. I am currently attending OCAD University as a full-time student and is now in my third year. I will be graduating in April, 2016. I am a permanent resident in Canada and am going to apply for citizenship next January.
My boyfriend and I are thinking about getting married after I graduate from university and we are also thinking of using common law in the future since we are moving in together from next January. He is now on his second visitor visa and it is going to expire on February 21st. We are both in Toronto now. His parents are supporting and will continue supporting his stay in Canada, is it possible for him to renew his visitor visa again? Also is it possible for him to renew his visa for more than 6 months?
