Hi there,
My Irish partner has been rejected for his initial PR application due to his foreign work experience being invalid. In hindsight, we think he was using a difficult NOC code. He is on his way back to Ireland to re-apply for PR, however he also has British citizenship and is considering getting a second IEC visa on that passport.
I've heard the pool for UK citizens is pretty saturated and he will likely have a harder time getting selected for the IEC visa than when he was in the Irish pool. I'm wondering if it's possible for him to re-apply for his PR on his Irish passport while applying for an IEC visa on his British passport at the same time. This way we have two options - hopefully his PR goes through, but if not he will already be in a pool with his UK passport. My partner is worried that this will "look sketchy" but as it says it's okay in the CIC website, I figured it wouldn't be a problem. Just looking for some second opinions.
Thank you!
