Hi all,
Needing some advice on my case.
I've been a Canadian PR since November 2012 and had been working & residing in Canada so I fully meet the physical residence requirement. However I have moved to live in the U.S. since September 2017 due to my husband's (Canadian citizen) internal relocation (3 year assignment with possibility relocating back to Canada afterwards)
I intended to make a trip back to Canada to submit my citizenship application in February 2018. My questions are as follow:
1) Will this raise suspicions to my citizenship application if I list my US address during my eligibility period (from Sep 2017 to Feb 2018) on the CIT0002 form? (I did travel back to Canada in October & December, both times staying for approximately 10 days)
2) My PR card is going to expire on March 29, 2018. In this case, can I renew my PR card AND submit my citizenship application during my trip back to Canada in February 2018?
3) Can I leave Canada after I submit my citizenship application?
Your advices are appreciated! Thanks!
