Applying for Citizenship application after 1100 days as PR and now leaving the Country

Dear Sir
I am permanent resident and stay inside the Canada for almost 1100 days. Now i got the job offer from outside Canada and planning to grab that opportunity.
I have the following concerns after completing my Citizenship application formalities?
1- Wether, i would go with Online or Paper based application.
2- Because i am not inside the Canada after filling my application, so i have to add my new address outside Canada.
3-If my stay is outside the Canada after filling the application, can that affect my application processing.
4- Some time they ask for Police Clearance Certificate while processing the application, is that possible to provide the Police Clearance Certificate, while filling the Citizenship application.
5- Once my application is matured, is it possible to do the Citizenship test online.

Give me brief answer for each point. Thanks for your help and suggestions in advance.

Be aware that you have to maintain your residency obligation while your application is being processed. Should your application take longer and you’ve travelled lots for extended periods, you could be at risk.

You can do your test from outside Canada. You can not do your oath outside Canada.

1- Wether, i would go with Online or Paper based application. - Opinion is divided. Toss a coin and choose. Looks like IRCC is picking up speed with the backlog of applications.

2- Because i am not inside the Canada after filling my application, so i have to add my new address outside Canada - Search the forum; your current is address in Canada is what should be used while applying because that is status at present.


3-If my stay is outside the Canada after filling the application, can that affect my application processing. Yes, there is anecdotal evidence that this has delayed applications but one can never speak with certainty that it will in your case and it is unlikely that IRCC will make a declaration to that effect. Many have sailed smoothly as well. Many have been asked to submit dates of travel back to Canada with evidence.

4- Some time they ask for Police Clearance Certificate while processing the application, is that possible to provide the Police Clearance Certificate, while filling the Citizenship application. This is a tricky one. If they ask for a PCC you cannot be in that country to get a PCC.

5- Once my application is matured, is it possible to do the Citizenship test online. Yes. Many reports here. However you would need to bear in mind that your PR status could be impacted during the time it takes to process your application. Also, for now, almost zero chances of getting an Oath outside Canada. Some members have reported being called for an interview after the test. The personal interview used to be the norm pre-Covid, BTW.

Thanks for your reply, You are referring to two year stay in last five year to maintain that obligation.

You can't turn around and say 'no problem' just because YOU faced no issues....that's irresponsible. Yes it may not be an issue for many however that doesn't mean it's plain sailing for everyone.

How about you read the hundreds of various threads before posting your questions on here....I took the liberty to read through hundreds of posts to get my answers and I say this because if you'd bothered to do an ounce of reading prior....then you'd have obtained your answers...MANY TIMES OVER!

The laziness of individuals here is astonishing purely because they don't want to read old threads.....!
