-Person A sponsored their spouse Person B
-Few years into the marriage things got sour, including infidelity
-Person A and Person B are separating, possibly divorcing
-Person B is just about to apply for Citizenship

Will it make things difficult for Person A should they re-marry and have to sponsor their second spouse?
If so, can Person A do anything to prevent Person B from obtaining citizenship.

Thanks. :(

Firstly, I can conclude from this post that person A must have been dis-honest during the marriage relationship as well. There are lots of pointers to my conclusion i.e why the thought of sponsoring a new spouse when the divorce process has not been concluded.

Secondly, The divorce would not affect person B's application for Citizenship provided they do not have any citizenship and immigration time requirement to be in the marriage as per the new 2 Yrs conditional residency.

When I become the minister for Immigration, I will change all the rules so that opportunists who go into deceitful marriages can be barred from abusing the system. Infact, I will be getting some MPS to sponsor my motion next year. :p :p :-\ :p :-\ ;D :D ;D :D
