Hi,

I am have applied with Canadian degree and one year Canadian work experience for the Express entry.
I meet requirements of FSW and CEC with a score of 446, the score was calculated as 448 but as I removed my Bachelors degree, thinking it will no longer be required as I apply for CEC, my score dropped to 446. I can see the drop of 2 points is in my spouse's Language proficiency points.

My question is that does making any changes to profile affects the score and removing my bachelor's degree will make any difference if I only show my Canadian Masters degree?

Also if update my spouse's Language scores will that make a difference as each point is important for me at the moment?

Thank you.

Why you want to remove a previous degree? Keep all your degrees. On the other hand, for your spouse make sure that you include her exam results. And if she had more than one exam and they all still valid dates, make sure to list the highest one.

You realise that not being honest about your qualifications could be regarded as misrepresentation. Always need to be honest when applying for immigration

Why dishonest?

Im not hiding anything, its just that the bachelor’s degree is not adding any points so I thought Masters is thw highest level of education and it doesnt need an ECA.

its my spous’s IELTS thats is showing a reduction of 2 points for no reason.

The one thing should have nothing to do with the other. But I have no idea why your wife's points for language scores would have dropped. You can always try adding your Bachelors degree back in and see what happens, but I can't think of any reason it should have an impact.

For the purpose of the profile, it should not make any difference. It is OK to only list your highest degree on the profile (although you would still need to list it when you complete your application, so you might as well include it). Note that if you list your foreign bachelor's, there is still no need for an ECA, because you have a higher degree from a Canadian university.

I don't know what you mean by "update" the scores. They should not change unless she takes the test again and gets better scores. Should she do that? It wouldn't hurt -

Dont do that, as I read a case like you, just provide master degree in Canada, then IRCC require bachelor degree, but unfortunately bc he didnot intend to provide it so he didnt evaluate WES as well. And IRCC just gave him 7 days to submit. While WES evaluation takes at least 1.5 months

In terms of education and work experience you only need to claim what you want to get points for.

If you don't want to disclose some education or work experience you don't have to.

You always need to provide proof of your highest degree, because it's understood that if you have a masters you have a bachelor's already.

Actually that's doubtful, when you have a Canadian Masters degree that's all you need. There is no need to have an ECA done on your Bachelor's, it's absolutely nonsense and really poor advise.

Of course provided your earned your master's from an eligible DLI, which is most certainly the case

Were you on a study or work permit?

I'm guessing the answer is study permit, hence, you cannot use that time toward Canadian experience for any immigration purposes in Canada.

At beginning, I was holding a ESL and work permit after end of my course. Also, I was working while I was studying in a private college. In both case I had worked full time
