Hello,

Once again I come to this great resource in need of help and advice.

I have graduated from a Canadian University with a 2-year IT diploma.

After obtaining my PGWP- I have been working in software development company for the past 1 year. I do not have an official title. But I have responsibilities that falls under 'system security analyst' along with 'computer programming. We R&D into security systems and so on. Before that I was working with a Canadian software company as a technical support specialist which was also for the duration of 1 year.

The beginning of this year- the software and development company I was working created an R&D company dealing with mostly security systems. I am now working under the R&D company. I have similar responsibilities more or less but some R&D involved etc. Note: The R&D is a different company not a division. However, they both have the same owner.

In all the companies I worked with so far- the size of the company in terms of employees were always 10-15. The R&D company that I work for currently consists only of 8 people due to the specialized nature of each members.

Will this be of concern when I apply for Express Entry Canadian Experience Class Skill level A under NOC 2171/2174?

Are there any Employer Requirements other than it being a Canadian company? Such as financial related, size of the company(employees), how long the company has been established for? etc?

I can get employment letter and recommendation from all 3 companies. Paystub most likely for all 3 companies as well.

Can some one please advice me if I am eligible to apply for Express Entry Canadian Experience Class Skill level A under NOC 2171/2174?

How can I make my application to have more chances of success?

Please advice. Really appreciate for any information regarding this.

Size of the company does not matter as long as company is traceable and CIC is able to verify work experience information that you have provided.

For EE employer details (as long as they are authentic and verifiable by CIC) don't matter as much as your CRS Score does.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply.

As my work experience in canada- Can I put 2 years although it was with 2 different companies and 2 different job titles although in the same field. However, the skill type and NOC will be different as well.

Or should I put the company information that I last worked with for a year? So that will just be 1 year work experience?

Please advice.

Why would you want to loose points for 1 yr of your work experience. Doesn't matter if they were in different NOC but you need to choose one as your primary NOC. The reference letters need to more or less match the NOCs though.

So what you are saying is I can put it as 2 year of work experience? and choose one NOC as my primary? The reference letters will be similar to the NOC job responsibilities more or less if that is what you mean.

Can I put 2 years work experience and put NOC 2174 in my application?

Please advice.

I think they meant put one year experience in each position. Isn't that what it is?

Yes, What i mean is put your respective experience as per the NOCs. Don't force fit the NOCs if it does not apply, but include both years (with different NOCs) with one being your core or primary NOC (which will be your area of future work or related to past field of education etc...)

Hope that clears...
