can u suggest any university for masters in electrical/electronics/power engineering ??
i guess cgpa is killing me ...2.45 :(
pre masters would be fine too
i'm from pakistan
bro your gpa could create a problem for sure but like i said try to convince the VO in the SOP that you were sick in you final exam and that's the reason why your gpa is low also try to add a recommendation letter from your teacher and then pay the first term fee and show sufficient funds for your study and then you could get the visa. let's hope for the best

how much time does it take for an online applicant to receive a medicsl request as i have applied on 30th march biometric done .

No
I applied paper based
And i keep telling everyone who will listen to me tht IN PAKISTAN DO NOT APPLY ONLINE. it always takes way more time then paper based apps.

Hello fellas,

I am hoping if someone could some advice please. A friend of mine wants to come to Canada as student but he has about six years of gap in his personal history. He is from Pakistan and his IELTS score is overall 6. He has completed diploma in mechanical engineering in 2010 and has no job experience. He is thinking for getting admission in Motive Power Technician program.

Do you have any suggestions for him? Do you think he can get the study visa considering he has so much gap in his personal history? Do you know of any cases like this who were able to get the study visa? Do you suggest any other routes for him? Please help.

Looking forward to your suggestions. Thank you! Smiley

brother your friend has a significant amount of gap, and having no job experience could for sure create a problem for him but if he can show valid experience and can convince the VO that his intention are only to study then he might have a chance.

Mustafa brother don't worry you have a strong profile you will get the admission easily but when you will apply for the visa make sure to add a strong SOP and show enough funds, and you will be good to go.
best of luck..

no doubt you are right if you guys are applying from pakistan make sure to file a paper base application rather than online cause eventually it will take more time.
best of luck to all.

Salam.

I have applied for study permit paper based on 2nd May from VAC Lahore at that time CIC was showing processing time 07 weeks but today i checked it is showing 12 weeks. Can anyone guide how this time is calculated. The other good thing is that after applying paper base application one can link this paper application to MYCIC online account and can get updates like online application.

The processing times tht r showed on the website are based on real-time data gathered. They gather the application filled dates and the decision made dates and calculate on those basis how much time on average an application is taking CURRENTLY. they do this after fixed intervals, that is y the time on the website keeps changing after a while.

I am managing statement so far. I am selling a property and depositing in bank account. I have a question that CIC says 4 months statement is required. Now as my classes are going to start on SEP and i do not have enough time i was thinking to apply in June, at that time I would be having one month statement of 3 million. What do you suggest?

Brother. According to CHC Islamabad you need to show bank statement for at least previous 12 months. And if you have property which is kept for financing your educational expenses. Dont need to sell it now instead submit property valuation documents to CIC.

It can be done and it will get things complicated. I have a property and two cars in my name i was going to sell property anyway ill attach sale affidavit and ownership of cars.

The condition of showing four months bank statement is only to discourage people from asking relatives to give money to show to VO. Once the visa is issued, such transferred money is sent back to the relatives (atleast thts wat VOs think). If ur depositing the money by selling ur own possessions then all u need to do is show them the trail i.e. show them which properties u sold and tht was the money tht u deposited in the bank.
In this case u shdnt worry abt keeping the money in the bank for four months or 12 months or four years.
Its all about submitting the proper documents. VOs r not ur enemies. U just need to convince them of the fact tht tbe money is actually urs no matter how long it is kept in the bank.
