Hi Everyone
I have been accepted at Seneca College in computer programming Diploma for Sept 16. I have 103 in IELTS. Medical, SOP, Police Clearance Record is all ready. After my secondary education, I started doing short courses related to programming and IT and also did a full-time office job. I completed my secondary education in 2010, I have 6 years experience letters to show. I am financially very stable. Have my own company here in Pakistan. Will this be a strong tie? I also run a Pakistani blog which will show my dedication for country. I have a lot of awards and appreciation in IT, computing and entrepreneurship. I want to groo myself by studying in Canada and then return back to be more competitive and run my company here.
People are telling me that 6 years gap will get me a visa refusal. Some are saying i should have chosen a uni degree instead of college diploma. I chose college diploma because it has exact those courses that i want. Game development and advanced programmning etc. Those courses will make me competitive when i return back to Pak. I cannot waste 4 years in a uni degree. Uni degree has same courses as diploma + some filler courses like sociolgy etc. I dont want to study that.
If i mention all this in my SOP, will I get a visa? should i choose a uni instead?
Do i need a lawyer? Also, is mentioning about my company and experience a good idea? Will it make them think i di not need those courses? Ant elp would be appreciated.
Thanks
