What? Even asking for passport can differ in time it takes?

as i am not a citizen of Usa i am on visit in Usa can i apply study permit of Canada from here being a Pakistani citizen justto save my time ? and can i travel outside of Canada when i get the study permit or not ?

I think we should wait till 4-5th Sept, 2016.

If we don't hear anything by then, then we don't have any option other than to defer our admissison

4-5th sep?? dont you think its too late?? what about your orientation classes?? mine starts on 1st sept.

Orientations are not mandatory. It is ok to skip them.
In fact, I have seen people who got their visa even after 1-2 weeks of their regular classes being started and they went after that. In my case, I have to register the course within 2 weeks of class getting started. So in my case, my classes start on 7th Sept, and therefore I can wait till 21st Sept. (Although this is my guess, I am not entirely sure about that)

As long as the university would allow you to defer the semester by 4-5th Sept(which I think they would), you can hang-on until then.

I got refusal today

reasons

financial status
couldnt prove I can support my self
travel history
ties

financial issues was mentioned 6 times

and it happened by my mistake. I showed 1.5 mil in bank statement and 10 mil + in fixed deposit

I ll rectify my mistakes and ll reapply
