Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hello everyone,

I have one question that my employer's immigration counselor does not know the answer. I hope someone who were in my situation could enlighten me.

I am from a TRV-required country. I just applied for a work permit based on LMIA. The job is NOC A. As I already have a TRV (subcategory B-1:Business Visitor **It is a Canadian B-1, not US B-1**), I am wondering how the process work.

1) Will I get another TRV in the process of my work permit application? I heard typically people who apply for a work permit typically get a TRV with subcategory W-1. On the other hand, I also heard that Canadian Consulate won't issue multiple TRV.

2) If I won't get another TRV, then how will the Canadian consulate send the Letter of Authorization (the document that I need to bring to POE to obtain a work permit) to me? Will it be via a postal mail or an electronic delivery?

Thank you very much,

Thank you very much

hi Friends,

I(Indian) work in Canada and my wife is also in Canada on visitor Visa.
According to my knowledge, my wife is eligible to apply for '(SOWP) Spouse Open Work Permit inside Canada'.
Although she is a visitor for now, but I have work permit here. Therefore she is eligible.
Please correct me if I am wrong.

Along with this one more query. Which one is the best way to apply for SOWP inside Canada:
(1) Paper Based
(2) Apply Online

I am answering my own question as a reference for someone who might be in my situation in the future.

1) I DO get another TRV in the process of my work permit application. I currently hold both B-1 TRV (Business Visitor) and W1 TRV (Worker)

2) The POE letter is issued to me electronically via myCIC account. However, since the new TRV is issued, I still need to submit my password to the VAC.
