Hi,

I'm a 25 year old Canadian living in Montréal and I met my Bf in January. I've been traveling to Jamaica all year and we are hoping that the next time we see each other is in canada for a two weeks visit. I've never been trough this process and I'm looking for any good advice that could make this happen.

1. I leave with my mom, should she give any information in the invitation letter?

2. Should I get the invitation letter notarized?

3. I have a letter of confirmation from my employeur but should I give T4 slip or can I just give pay slip?

4. Is there any other documents that could help us get a visa?

5. My father is jamaican, is this something that should be mentioned in any documents?

I'm really wondering if this is possible, please help if you can !!

Thank you

I would assume you are inviting him to stay with you (and your family)? Anyway, not really, if you want to include one where they state they are ok with the visit then that is fine.

Please provide us with all the details, we cannot be guessing what is your situation.

Notarization serves no purpose.

Who is travelling? He is... he needs to prove he is financially capable of affording the trip, not you. It doesn't matter if you are "covering his expenses".

You only need to provide 1) letter of invitation 2) bank snapshot (account information) 3) picture id

He has to provide, financial papers that state he can afford the trip, employment letter on when he is expected to go back and his leave, papers showing his ties to his homecountry (assets, loans, mortgages, real state). Etc.

No.
