Hi all,

I am in the process of organising a temporary passport for my daughter (and applying for proof of citizenship at the same time) from Australia, with intention to move to Canada in two months time.

I have downloaded the 'Child Document Travel Application' PPTC192.pdf

And there is a question there that I am not sure how to answer:

3. Proof of Immigration Status in Canada:

-Permanent Resident Card. -Temporary Resident Permit. -Verification of Status. -Notice of Decision issued by the Immigration and Refugee Board

None of these option seem appropriate for my circumstances. Which of the options do I check and provide evidence for? My daughter is a Canadian Citizen by descent, born in Australia to a father with Canadian citizenship (by birth) and a mother with PR. I am applying for her proof of citizenship at the same time so am confused as to what original documents I need to supply for this question.

Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Just bumping this for any advice! Thanks

You'd have to include a copy of her birth certificate as well as your passport/citizenship document copies.
Try contacting the embassy via email to ask for frther clarification

For this question on the form maybe write "not applicable" and "child is Canadian citizen" etc

Thank you! I thought this may be the case, but wasn't sure if I had missed something. Appreciate your help!

You also need to include proof that you've applied for the Certificate of Citizenship.

No worries. So sending the application in the same envelope- would that be considered proof? Or you mean a photocopy of the complete application?

Thanks for the heads up!

If everything is to sent to the same address anyways, then send them together. I would include a photocopy of the citizenship form with the passport app in case the are apps are separated.
