Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi
Just to give a background , i am right now in Canada on a work permit which is valid for 2 years. I am an IT professional with 8+ years of experience.
Now i would like to apply for a PR after 12 months of living here in Canada, but when i was checking about it one of my friend told me that i can apply for PNP and then it will be easy for me to get a PR status.
So just wanted to check from the experts here
1) What are the options available for me to get/apply for a PR
2) If i can apply for a PR is there a minimum time that i have to live in Canada or else can i apply right away
3) So then what is PNP and how does it help in getting my PR

If you need any other details i am glad to share it, but please suggest me an option

thanks

How long have you been working in Canada on work permit?

i am here for close to 3 months and my visa is valid until 2016, hopefully will be here till my work permit expires

PNP certainly is an option for you and with Express Entry rolling in from January 2015 the immigration process will change for the economic stream.

In the meanwhile apply for PNP nomination as to be eligible under CEC you need at least one year of experience before you can apply.

Hi ,
So is that i can apply even for PNP only after i complete 12 months of staying in Canada. In that case i can directly apply for PR after 12 months right. Correct me if i am wrong.
And also can you please explain about the changes to the immigration as you have mentioned

thanks

You need to check with your province website for eligibility and processing times for PNP nomination.
