APPLYING FOR A OPEN WORK PERMIT / WORK PERMIT EXTENSION

Hi, can somebody help me. I already submitted my PR application to CIC last May 26, 2014, although i haven't received the acknowledgement receipt from them they already deducted the processing fee of $1,250 (coz family of 3) from my master card. My question is my work permit is about to expire on November 1, 2014, do you think i can apply for a open work permit once i received the acknowledgement receipt from CIC? and can i apply for the work permit early even its not yet 90days prior to the expiry of my permit, coz i wanted to go for a 6weeks vacation on Sep or October? When is the earliest possible date that i can apply? Please help and advise me. Thank you

You have two choices:

1.Apply with a supporting letter from your province of nomination.

2. Wait till you get a AOR to apply for a Bridge Open Work Permit.

In either case it will be too early to apply now if the permit expires in November. One of my friend's application was returned when she applied 5 months before expiration date. They replied saying that she should apply 2 months prior to the expiration date.

In the website it states that we can apply 4 months prior to expiry date of work permit.

Hi,

here is my situation:

I have recently apply for permanent residence (I am the principle applicant) under PNP-SINP Hospitality last May. may work permit is expiring on Nov.

My husband is on closed work permit will expire on Sept 2015.

My questions is:

Can I apply for open work permit for him even his WP is still valid for almost a year?



Any help would be appreciated.
