Applying for 1 more year of SP after completing 1 years PGD or Masters

Hi,
I want to know about process from an experienced person if they have completed 1 year of PGD or Masters and have applied for 1 more year of education.

Particularly I want to know;
1. when should i apply for this new SP - before or after the completion of the current study?

2. Is it treated same as the first SP application meaning relevancy of study, capability of financial support, intention to leave the country etc are checked?

3. Is it difficult to get or common to get approved?

Easy provided you have the funds. I recommend you do cheaper program first before doing the Master's in your 2nd year.

Thanks.. Funds will not be difficult but now I'm having job leaving family in homecountry.. Considering after 1 years course completed, I'll not have my job in home country and will have family in Canada. Means my social ties in home country will be weaker..

Having less social ties in home country during SP extension, is it a problem to get the extension?

No extension is not as complicated as initial study permit. Just need funds, LOA and maybe Letter of enrolment in current program.
