applying canada student visa from usa

hey all,

I am on temporary visa in usa.we are planning to apply for canada student visa for my husband(dependent).
he already given academic ielts.I have some quetions.we are planning to apply for algoquin career academy for october 2010.
1.can I submit medical with ur application?I have only one month to apply.
2.this college is not under spp then my application will be processed in general?
3.how much score we need in ielts?

Sorry i didn't get your first question.

IELTS overall 6 band should be fine but do check with the college or local VFS/Embassy to be sure.

Yes even I have read that they recommend those who are on temp visa to go back to their home country and apply again. Buddy having read that i would say It involves quite some risk for you to apply from there.

As you are in bit tricky situation maybe it would be better if you seek an immigration lawyer's help if you do not want to come to india to apply.

actually college has not requested ielts but we still given it.

medical in not needed in advance if you applying a normal student visa,,,,,,,,,
well its college requirement of ielts .......i also did not submit the IELTS but i submitted some supporting documents which shows my english capability well if college is giving you acceptance letter then no need to submit IELTS.........

later college administration will ask for English tests if u got visa
