Hi everyone,

We are confused on whether to apply together or apply separately that is, apply for study permit first and then apply for spouse visa?

Experienced members please suggest us on this.

Thanks a lot.

Brother I would suggest you never apply with spouse for study permit despite the fact you have sufficient funds to support your family in canada. Apply for your own study permit and after that go for your family.

But never ever say you are single on any application if you are married !

I don't know. Some suggest to apply together and some don't. We are in a serious dilemma. Is it worth the risk???

@sambib which country you applying from

So first apply for study permit then after a while apply for spouse visa. Do Nepal applications get processed in India?

You mean after getting study permit?? Is it better to go for TRV or open work permit for spouse?

Yes, processed from New Delhi. Thanks for your reply.

From India it is slightly difficult to get spouse visa, you should check other part of the forum to see what i mean. Best would be both of you apply for study permit. If thats not possible one of you get your study permit, wait atleast 6 months and then apply spouse open work permit. Have to be patient with this route, because they simply donot want to give spouse open work permit. Check in other part of the forum for more details.

We were planning to go for Study permit and TRV for spouse. How does that sound to you? Good or bad idea???

Not so good if application is going to processed in Delhi.

I applied online for study permit and spouse OWP from india. My study permit was approved within 10 days, got passport stamped.Spouse's application is still in medical passed state. Almost 1.5 months now.

Hello,
I will apply from Saudi Arabia, should go for my study permit, spouse OPW,and kids TRV or sp?

I think I will do the same.Apply together. Fingers crossed !!!. After all, being together is most important thing.
