Apply study permit from a visiting country

It is plossible to apply for a study permit from a country in which i'm as a visitor?
I'm a citizen of india and would like to apply for a study permit from Bahrain since my parents work there. I will be on a visit visa in bahrain for 1 months( extendable upto 3 months).

I have been to Canada as a student before but, due to some family reasons i had to go back to india.


This is the second time i'm applying for study visa. When i applied for the first time, i applied from Bahrain. But at that time i was a temporary resident in bahrain.

Is it possible to apply for study permit as a visitor in Bahrain?

Visitor status does not allow do that (international requirements)
In Canada, you could do it, but the application is sent to Los Angeles USA
if you do it online you have to select the appropriate address to avoid any deny

This is absolutely wrong.

A person can apply for a Candian study permit from any country where s/he has been lawfully admitted. Whether the admission is as a visitor or a resident doesn't matter, as long at the person is in the country legally.

You can apply from Bahrain as long as you have a visa (even if it's a visit visa) in Bahrain.

A person can apply for a Candian study permit from any country where s/he has been lawfully admitted. Whether the admission is as a visitor or a resident doesn't matter, as long at the person is in the country legally.

I don't understand what you're trying to show with this.

He can apply in any country as long as he's lawfully admitted in that country.

Whether applying in his home country over Bahrain is better, that's a separate discussion beyond the scope of the original question.

There are many applicants who are visitors in other countries have successfully applied for study permits. Such as applicants visiting Canada can also able to apply for Canadian study permits and many cases have shown if you check on the International Student forum where they have successful in obtaining study permit while in Canada.

That's fine as long you state the reason of why you are applying from Bahrain instead of India and maybe show your parents work contracts as well.

Hi may I ask you a question? The first time that you applied for the study permit from Bahrain, was your temporary resident status there undefined? or was it for a specific period of time? For example 2005-2006. If it was for a specific period of time, do you remenber if your study program ended before your inmigration status in Bahrain did? The reason I am asking is because I am about to apply from a country that is not my country of citiznship but I am living legally here with a visa linked to my dads worker visa but my visa expires in December 2018 because it is when I turn 25 and i will lose the benefits but my dads visa expires in 2020. My study program begins in September 2018 and ends in April 2020.

just apply, your are lawfully temporary resident
you have to convince (Canada Immigration) that you are going to return to your country of citizenship
then in Canada you will see what you will do next
