Apply PCC while waiting for WP extension

Hi All,

I am planning to apply for PCC at Montreal BLS office but I am waiting for my WP extension while I applied on 7th Feb 2013 as my WP expired on 11th Feb 2013. I tried calling BSL many times but no one responded. Could anyone suggest if I can apply for PCC from India while waiting for my WP extension.

The chances are very bleak that your PCC app will be accepted in Canada since you dont have a valid WP. CGI told me that I need to have a valid WP to apply for PCC.

You can very well try to get it from India.

Thanks for replying Yahoo7.. To get from India I have to be physically present there and since I am in implied status if I leave then I will loose the implied status. So I guess my best bet will be to wait for my WP and then apply through BLS Montreal.

I Am planning to apply for PR. Have just received my Celpip scores

You should be receiving your WP soon as the current processing time is 94 days and CIC is processing WP apps received on January 21. You can as well apply for your CEC without the PCC. Submit PCC once you receive your AOR.

No. You cannot apply for PCC while you are on implied status. Now after getting my WP extn i have send my passport for TRV renewal. once it comes back then i will apply for PCC. I am planning to submit PCC along with PR application
