Apply-online-visa issues

Dear All,

I am writing all the issues when applying visa online which I gathered from me and my friends to let you all be aware with and also to get your suggestions.

Recently, we (my friends and me) applied visa online and got rejected. We carefully prepared the right documents and they rejected due to financial matter in which I do not believe that we lack of.

Here is what we submitted:

- Application for Study Permit Made Outside of Canada (IMM1294)
- Family Information
- Birth Certificate
- Affidavit of Financial Support signed by my mother(or father) that my parents give me the money to use in the bank account and will support all the expense
- Proof of financial support with my total saving balance of 100,000 USD (under my mother’s and my name), Income and work confirmations with annual income about 40,000USD, Certificates of Lands right and ownership of the houses belong to my family’s property to prove our family’s assets, Business Registration with Tax Paid Receipt.
- Passport/ Photo
- Letter of Acceptance from Thompson Rivers University and ILSC
- A paid receipt tuition
- Academic Reports, High School Diploma, College Diploma and Household Registration.

I completed an Associate Degree and would like to continue my education in Canada to pursue the Bachelor Degree. I am not sure this is the reason that they failed my visa; but in the rejection letter they mentioned that I don't have enough of financial fund to study in Canada and they do not believe that I will come back to my country due to our family's assets. My friends had the same rejection reason as well while we all had about 100k USD in the bank.

With that said, I think they might be more difficult now to obtain their visas? Please advise if I made anything wrong on my application. And also, to whom has not submitted the application yet, you guys should pay more attention and be careful with the financial proof.

I think you should have transferred money in your account, just to be on the safer side if you have such a good finance why not simply go and take advice on visa consultants

The money is my parents' savings to use to pay for the tuition fee and expense. They put it to prove that we have finane to pay while in Canada. They just transfer to my name so I can withdraw in the future and to also prove to CiC.

Yes, I did.

Just now you mentioned that I should go for a visa consultant.. One of my friend who recently got rejected went through them ;(

I want to advice u on something. How many people are dependent on that account? Or how many siblings are in your family? How old are they? Because 100k bank statement shouldn't be enough if you are 10 people in your family,,,, n besides how much did your letter of acceptance mentioned that will be enough for you for a year or throughout the program??

Thank you so much for your advice. To answer your question, listed as below:

1. There are 2 separate accounts, one is just under my mother's name ( just one account holder) and the other one is under my name ( just one account holder). So there are no dependent on those accounts.

2. There are two of us in my family. My sister got married with her own income.

3. I have two Letters of Acceptance. The major study is from TRU which the tuition is about 18,000 per year, but the Pathway Language LOA is from ILSC in Vancouver where I will finish 8 months before go to TRU. And I paid off the tuition fee for that ( ~ 9k). I estimate that the living expense will be around 14,000/year.

Let me tell you , where you did mistake. If the rejection cause is lack of finance

From a VO point of view, if an applicant has property and enough money in account , why he is not taking bank loan. Money in bank can be arranged temporarily. But a bank loan sanction letter is a solid proof, that you are very well backed up financially.
Visa officers know, that if you are taking loan, than you must have mortgaged something of double the amount of loan.

A single bank loan sanction letter, covers all your documents( property, funds, DD's etc.)

And in the university category it is mandatory to show either GIC or bank loan , apart from tuition fee

I am not quite familiar with getting the bank loan here. Just wonder if we have enough finance, why do we still need to get a loan?

Could you please tell me more about this loan and the letter?

please go through the checklists of documents required in each visa category(general/spp/university), in which you want to apply.

I am saying about Study loan , because i myself got visa in just one week . and for financials i only showed, 1st sem tution fee and letter of study loan. nothing else, just this two documents

Thank you for your suggestion.

Did you submit any proof of assets ? Since they said in the letter that I did not convince them enough that I would come back to my country due to family's assets.

I will re-apply my SPP soon. As I already submitted my bank information with the previous money in it, would that be okay if I provide a loan letter?

Since I was rejected because of financial matter and employment, I think about submitting the Bank Loan Letter and the employment letter. Do I have a chance to be approved this time?

Thanks for your message.

I made the online application from Vietnam, Hochiminh City Office, got response from them in 3 weeks ;(
I thought about CAIPSNOTE but it seems taking very long to receive them (from 4-6 weeks right ?) So the start date of my course will be January, do you think I have enough time please?
