apply for trv for mom from canada

hello , i was wondering if it is possible to apply for TRV from canada for my moms visitor visa

would i do it online and upload all the documents by scanning them and submitting them ? is there any limit to how many documents i can submit online? and the signature would be done online as well ?

if i were to apply for her, here in canada would i have to be her 'representative?' and also fill out that form ?

An online visa don't need a physical signature (It is understood that applicant is responsible for his/her application). When you register on CIC key it will generate documents to be needed on based on your answer of questioner.

online is risky chances of rejection are more...there are no definitive stats but that's what the forum tell mostly.


I applied VFS delhi paper based application for my dad got visa within 5 working days.

the limit to each attachment is 4mb which can be tricky if you are attaching a lot of photos and scanned records.

you can apply online no signature is required. you will need to create for her a mycic and gckey. I would fill out the representative form just in case.

I have applied for my family while in Canada (mother, mother in law, sister, brother in law) online as my home country is advised to apply online. I got 2 approvals (mothers) and 2 refusals. I didn't fill the representative form. The family form has to be signed by the applicant, i emailed, they signed and scanned back to me, then i uploaded the forms for them. and keep checking their accounts. I bundled all documents under 1 per requirement, (made 1 pdf).
