Hi guys,

I've read a ton of posts everywhere about staying in Canada after post grad studies but there is still that one question that arises that I don't find a clear answer to.

Can I apply for PR through an "express entry" system after I graduate?

Or is there only one road to immigration which is to get a one-year working permit, work for a year then apply for PR? In that case, do I absolutely need a full one year of working experience in Canada? I read in many blogs that I do but it is not stated in the immigration website.

Thank you in advance guys!

You can apply anytime if you have enough points to beat the cutoff. Need not wait till your graduation day or wait for work permit offers.

The express entry has three routes for applying PR, which is mentioned in above post.
If you accumulate 1 year canadian experience, you can apply through CEC.
If you have 1 year outside canada experience, you can apply through FSW.
However, your total CRS score must be greater than cutoff to receive ITA.
