apply for post graduation WP while waiting study permit

Hello everyone;
I applied for a study permit extension in the 10th of March, and there no updates til now
the processing time becomes longer (108 days).

I graduated in the 5th of APRIL and I need to apply for a post-graduation work permit.
I have a job offer for doing Postdoc fellowship at the university and the university here needs a valid SIN along with and a proof that I will apply for the work permit?

My wife is a MSc student at the university, she has a valid study permit until the SEP 2019.
Can I apply for a work permit, they saying the processing time would take 5 weeks.

Ah ok. You can only apply for PGWP if you have a valid SP unfortunately. I don't understand why your original study permit was only up until March though, when you were graduated in April? As soon as your course finished you should have been badgering them for a letter.
