Apply for my Canadian born child?

Hello everyone.

My first ever post

First my background: I currently have a temp work visa and since living in Canada my family has grown by 1. I have recently created my EE profile and sent an invitation to apply yesterday!

During the first step under the title "Find out if you're eligible to apply" we are asked the question "Is you child included in this application?" Because she was born in Canada, I selected no as she does not need PR (she already has her SIN number and we're applying for her Canadian passport).

But then we continued and found that under the permanent application page, it lists our child as "Unaccompanying, PR Child Form"

Should I have selected yes in the first steps?

Thanks in advance for any help, I can't wait to send in the application!

BTW! I love the fact that it asks if she is married or divorced even though she's 6 weeks old

She would not be accompanying you to Canada (she's already here).

If it were me, I'd include a letter of explanation and leave it as it is.

If you want the official answer, the best way would be to call CIC.
