I'm just curious what others have done.

My husband watches the job postings, so once he gets his Decision Made do you think it would be bad to start applying before he actually has his SIN #?

Sure, there are no requirements to have a SIN before or during job search.

You can apply for job postings, however applications usually have a question something like this. Are you legally allowed to work in Canada. You cannot say yes if you don't have a SIN yet. That's fraud and they would need your SIN when they hire you.
