Apply for job before landed

Hi,

If you get your immigrant visa but not yet landed, can you apply as immigrant? Can you say to employer you are immigrant? I ask because i see jobs that prefer citizen or immigrant.

Unless you have a talent that no one have in Canada, the employer will not respond to you before landing . They look to hire some one who is actually in Canada. Employer do not ask about the citizenship or immigrants visa, all they ask about the "legally entitled to work in Canada" and for that they ask for SIN.
