Apply for Citizenship while sponsoring wife

Hello all.

I am currently a PR since about 5 years. I am sponsoring my wife at the moment, who is also a PR and is in Canada with me since around a year now.
I would like to know if I can apply for my citizenship while my sponsorship for my wife is still going on. I understand I am obligated to sponsor her for three years from the time she becomes a PR.
