Apply for Canadian citizenship while holding a dual permanent resident status

I am currently a dual permanent resident and I plan to apply for Canadian citizenship.

I am under the impression there will be no issue having all of these permanent resident status while gaining Canadian citizenship ?

Will being a dual permanent resident likely slow down the application process.
