Can I apply for a BOWP without getting an AOR?

My profile is currently open and I have met the minimum requirements for CEC & FSW, but I haven't gotten an invitation yet

No - you can't.

What is the best option then? Didn't get onpnp pt yet, work permit expiring July end! Visitor visa? Or go back home and wait for ITA? Or apply for work permit anyway so that can atleast work until decision is made on work permit application (which will be a rejection)??

That's a million dollar question. I am in the same boat except my work permit is valid for few more months. I think we should apply for an extension anyway. Worst case we get rejection. You can still stay here on an implied status. Unless, anyone else has any better idea.

i'm in the same boat. my pgwp expires in few days and i didn't get invitation to apply yet. i will take another celpip test to raise my crs points up to 400 so i can get oopnp. i'm applying for bowp on paper application to buy some more time until i get ita. so what i suggest is just apply for bowp even though you might get rejected. We will lose $250 fees but we get implied status till we get the result and you might get lucky and get ita before they process your application.

I submitted my PR application today. My work permit expires in less than 2 months. Does anyone know how long it's taking to get the AOR? I got an AOR immediately after submitting the application but I know that's not the one they require for BOWP.

Also does anyone know how long it takes to get a BOWP? I heard before 20 days with an online application but now I'm hearing much longer. I have to leave Canada in September so can't stay in implied status.

Any help or info would be grateful!! Surely some people have had to go through this process with express entry

You CAN stay in Canada on an implied status. You must immediately apply for a BOWP online. I believe you should get it in 20-30 days if applied online

Satya, not anymore. Currently its a little over 90 days to process the applications. Just a couple of weeks ago, online applications processed within 60 days. Now it has increased by a month.

How can u even apply(forget abt the result) for bowp or extn of wp without lmia or pnp ???

You can if your PR application is in process. If it is in process, CIC will send you an "Acknowledgement of Receipt" letter which should be used while filling up the BOWP application. Without this AOR letter you are not allowed to file the BOWP application even though your PR is in process.

Go to this site: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/prov/bridging.asp and scroll down to "Express Entry" section

I have not received it. :( And I badly need it to apply for my BOWP application. My work permit is expiring in 75 days. I called CIC thrice and mentioned about it. The last agent I spoke to 2 days ago, promised me to generate it and send it to me. I haven't received it yet.

Many people have actually got it. They are mostly from April and later PR applicants. Very few march applicants have received it. Those who received it have got it anywhere between 1 week to 1 month after they submitted their documents for PR application.

I'm in same predicament. WP expiring 16 August, PR two months in and in progress and no AOR. I've heard lots of people aren't getting AOR's since EE and that they're accepting applications for a BOWP with just a copy of of the 1st AOR one gets after sending PR application. Not sure how true this is but going to try my luck with this.
