Apply for an open work permit inside Canada

Hi everyone,

I am on a dependent visitor visa and came to know that I'm eligible to apply for an open work permit here.
Could anyone please help me about the forms and supporting docs that need to be submitted.
Also should I need to get a job offer to apply for the work permit?

Open work permit can be filled online only. You will get all the details in CIC.GC.CA. The open work permit is given only for dependent's and hence you do not need any job offer and LMO. You need to scan the passport page and attach it online when you apply and they charge CAD 150 which can be paid online.

I have one more query. In the application form IMM5710E for open work permit, in the barcode page, there is a space for signature...
Is it mandatory that I have to upload signed and scanned page?

I do not remember anything like that and more over I'm not sure if anything has changed recently in the on-line application.
