Apply for a CEC when a work-permit process is running

Hi guys,

Does someone know if I can apply for a CEC when I have a work-permit process running?

I would like to apply even though my work-permit process is not finished yet.

You can apply as long as you have the required hours. Even if you leave Canada, you can still apply under CEC

I was a little confused because someone said me that I can't apply for two process together in CIC.
This means I could go ahead and apply for the CEC process, that's right?

Yes, go ahead, they are unrelated applications, not even processed at the same office.

oh i think that's not true, a_macedo. 2 application in cic? in fact i have my CEC application and Federal skilled application in process now. i applied in CEC July 2010, while Federal skilled application in May 2010. and the immigration gave me a file number to both of my application. i even applied my work permit application last april and expecting it in august. so i dont think there's a problem with that.
