My case may be kind of unusual.
Simply saying, my child was born outside Canada at the time when I finished the citizenship written exam but not to the last step. Hence, my child is not a canadian citizen and I had to sponsor her to apply pr firstly to come to canada. Unfortunately, the pr application took very long time and it was not finished when I became the citizen.
So, my question is, once my child get her pr approved and come to canada, can I apply canadian citizenship for her right away? I mean since my spouse will not apply for citizenship, can I only apply the citizenship for my child? If I can, does my child need to meet residency requirement?
