Applied visa without payment of university fees.

Hi All,

I have got admit from University of Windsor for January 2018 intake. I was waiting for University to notify me about fees payment, but unfortunately, they didn't. And I applied for my Visa application without fees payment. Thought I have provided CAD 2,69,230$ of funds while my requirement was around CAD 45,000$.

Please let me know if this can affect my Visa application? If yes should I send my fees receipt to Visa Office as an additional document?

Hi Kaitav,

Can you please confirm if uninversity fees is mandatory before applying Study permit. I have got an admission in University of Alberta for fall Session and last date of fees is 30 Sept 2018. I am going to apply for study permit in India next week but have not paid the fees and university also confirmed its not required at this moment.

But do this step has any complications in getting visa? Please confirm. Thanks.

It is not necessary to pay fees to get the study permit..
I got visa approval few days ago (summer 2018 intake) for the same case.
PS i haven't paid the fees yet.

Varies from college to college. If your college requires you to pay the fees then you must. Some colleges accept fees on the first day of class. Better to enquire directly.
